European Competence Framework for Researchers
The European Competence Framework for Researchers (ResearchComp) maps out what is involved in conducting up-to-date, professional research in what is an ever more interdisciplinary and international context.
It breaks this down into 38 competencies organised into 7 interconnected higher-level themes, all of which are highly valued and sought after by employers both within and beyond academia.
After extensive consultation with all researcher development partners at the University, we have decided to pilot the ResearchComp Framework, adapted for the University of Cambridge. This framework will help you to identify your current skillset and support you in developing other skills needed. You can see the original framework here.
