Postdoc Academy

The three Postdoc Centres - at Eddington, in the town centre (Mill Lane), and on the Biomedical Campus - offer a unique space dedicated to postdocs.

They provide a clear point of contact for any postdoc needing help or advice, and free access to hotdesking workspace or meeting rooms for professional and social events.

The Postdoc Centres provide a space to come together and exchange ideas, a place to access support, and a way to find a sense of belonging and engage with the University beyond their department.

They also provide a venue for other services around the University to hold training, talks, and events specifically for postdocs. The Postdoc Centre @ Biomedical Campus also welcomes 3rd and 4th year PhD students.

The first Postdoc Centre at 16 Mill Lane opened in 2014 and, since then, the centres have hosted over 6,000 training courses, networking sessions, careers events, seminars, conferences, and wellbeing and family events.

The centres also serve as office space for the Postdoc Academy, PdOC and NVS – where we provide support to postdocs throughout their time at the University. Drop in to visit if you have any questions about your life and work in Cambridge.
