Postdocs have an opportunity to engage with Nigel Topping, the UN High Level Climate Champion for COP26, on a project in collaboration with the University to develop a study in response to an initiated Grace relating to fossil fuel industry ties.
Eight postdocs are required to participate in the focus group discussion.
Ideally from a discipline that would be affected by the Grace, participants will attend one virtual 1-hour meeting (recorded) before the end of March 2023.
During the meeting, Nigel would like to discuss the following questions:
- What is the University's mission when it comes to climate change?
- What is the University's current and future role in the transition?
- How would the transition impact the University in terms of funding, research, delivery, reputation, and academic freedom?
