Postdoc Academy

Around 80% of the postdocs at the University of Cambridge have a postdoc committee in either their department or School.

These committees provide a platform for the communication of ideas and mutual concerns, and for the coordination of postdoc activities at a departmental or School level.

You can find a contact person for the committee in your department/School here.

Postdoc Chairs’ Network

The Postdoc Chairs’ Network (PCN) is a joint initiative from the Postdoc Academy and PdOC. All chairs or representatives from departmental postdoc committees are invited to join this network.

The network meets each term to:

  • represent and explore the needs of the postdoc community, and contribute to the University strategy for postdocs
  • share best practice, ideas and experiences between departments
  • provide advice and support for postdocs who are members of a departmental postdoc committee
  • establish and engage in training opportunities for chairing and managing committees.

You can find out more about the PCN and its members, as well as a guide to establishing a departmental postdoc committee, here.
