Postdoc Academy

Around 85% of the postdocs at the University of Cambridge have a postdoc committee in either their department or school.

These committees provide a platform for the communication of ideas and mutual concerns, and for the coordination of postdoc activities.

Postdoc Chairs’ Network

The Postdoc Chairs’ Network (PCN) is a joint initiative from the Postdoc Academy and PdOC. All chairs from departmental postdoc committees are invited to join this network.

The network meets each term to:

  • represent and explore the needs of the postdoc community, and contribute to the University strategy for postdocs
  • share best practice, ideas and experiences between departments
  • provide advice and support for postdocs who are members of a departmental postdoc committee
  • establish and engage in training opportunities for chairing and managing committees.

If you're interested in getting involved, you can find a contact for the committee in your department here, as well as a guide to establishing a departmental postdoc committee.
