Postdoc Academy

 

You may have already heard about the University’s plans to improve its pay and benefits package from October 2024.

We think the key updates for postdocs are:

  • a pensionable supplement of 2.5% basic monthly pay will be awarded to all staff on University terms and conditions, up to and including salary point 48
  • the University will pay visa and NHS surcharge fees for all new starters who are employed on a Skilled Worker or Global Talent Visa
  • there will be enhanced family leave provision for all staff, including maternity, paternity and adoption leave
  • the proposed new Academic Career Pathway for research staff will be considered by the University Council in Michaelmas Term.

Your participation has been instrumental in informing the University’s decisions on these matters.
