Postdoc Academy

The Research Culture working group is looking for a new postdoc representative from a STEM subject.

Improving our research culture is a major focus for the university, with areas like recognition and reward, open research, bullying and harassment, and professional development high on our agenda.

The working group recently published an action plan and is now working on implementing this plan. It’s a great way to get involved in a project which will really make a difference to postdocs, have real influence on university policy, and a great opportunity to work with a broad range of people from across the university, and the wider HE sector.

The group meets roughly once per term, with smaller sub-groups focused on specific projects in between.

If you are interested in contributing, please email Liz Simmonds, chair of the working group, outlining briefly why you are interested in the role.

Please submit your expression of interest by Friday 8 October.
