To assist with the development of the University’s ED&I Strategy for 2026–2031, representatives are being sought to form a series of ‘peer groups’. We are keen that one peer group will be made up of postdocs and research staff, who are typically the most diverse constituency in the University and the least represented in standard consultation exercises.
The development process will use a research methodology called ‘deliberative democracy’ or ‘merging of knowledge’, where the peer groups will first meet separately to discuss key issues before coming together to achieve a final consensus on the strategy.
To make your voice heard, you would need to commit to two online peer group sessions: 3 - 4.30pm on 9 May 2025 and 3 - 4.30pm on 20 June. Following these discussions, two representatives from each group will join the final ‘merging of knowledge’ session to finalise the ED&I Strategy (date tba).
If you are interested in participating in the researchers’ peer group, please submit an expression of interest on this form by Friday 25 April.
