The University recognises that UK immigration fees present a considerable burden for non-UK staff, particularly members of the postdoctoral community.
As part of an enhanced relocation provision under the University’s People Strategy, the visa loan scheme will offer an interest-free loan, up to the value of £10,000, which staff members can use to help meet the cost of these visas. The loan will be repayable through monthly payroll deductions.
The scheme is open to current and prospective staff (and their dependants), who hold or require a Skilled Worker Visa, Global Talent Visa, or need to make an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain/Settlement.
The visa loan scheme runs in parallel with the free immigration advice service (on all UK immigration law matters) for current and prospective staff, run by the HR Compliance Team.
