Postdoc Academy

We are delighted to announce that the Postdoc Academy Centres Coordinators, Ceren Kaser and Shaun Ballisat, have been successful in achieving the Green Impact Bronze Award, the first tier of the University's environmental accreditation scheme.

The team have been praised for their passion and investment in the project since starting in January 2021.

With the Postdoc Academy team working from home, in-person events not possible and the postdoc centres closed, the scheme presented some challenges!

However, by sharing green initiatives for home-working and circulating digital newsletters highlighting University and regional projects and events, the team were still able to make a difference.

Some simple changes have also been made at the Eddington postdoc centre, so that when we reopen, it will be with a greener focus.

There’s always more to be done though, and Ceren and Shaun will now start working on ideas to achieve the Silver award.

How to Get Involved

We welcome any further feedback or suggestions on how the Postdoc Academy can be greener within its centres or its work, so please get in touch with the Green Impact team with any suggestions.
