The University Childcare Office operates two workplace nurseries, a holiday playscheme, and provides information about schools, parental leave, and financial support to help with childcare costs.

The University has launched an initiative with the organisation My Family Care, which delivers family-friendly emergency back-up care and will give employees access to a network of child, adult and eldercare across the country at short notice.

Alumni

The OPdA and Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations are delighted to be able to extend a number of University alumni benefits to postdocs. In order to be eligible for alumni benefits, you will need to have been in post for a minimum of 300 consecutive days and your term of employment has now finished.

If you are/were employed by the University, your details will be forwarded on to Development and Alumni Relations. However, we would strongly encourage you to update your details on Employee Self Service to ensure you can start to receive these benefits as soon as possible.

Once you are about to leave the University, you will be contacted directly by Development Alumni Relations. You will have the opportunity to opt-out of the scheme.

In due course, you should receive a welcome letter or email from Development Alumni Relations and start to receive the alumni e-newsletter and e-CAM, as well as details of how to register for your alumni email.

To view a full list of benefits which are available to you, please visit the Cambridge Alumni website.

If you have any queries regarding registration to the alumni scheme or benefits, please contact contact@alumni.cam.ac.uk
