Access to the Postdoc Centres

Postdoc Alumni can now use any of the three Postdoc Centres across the city for hot-desking when visiting Cambridge.

To use these spaces, you must book in advance, at least 10 working days before the intended start date.

You can make one booking per quarter. Once we have verified your postdoc alumni status, you will be granted access to the relevant Postdoc Centre for 7 consecutive days based on the start date you provide.

In order to make a booking, you will need your Alumni Number, which you can find in the footer of any Postdoc Alumni newsletter, or communications you receive from CUDAR.

Hot desking space in the Eddington Postdoc Centre

Eddington

The Postdoc Centre at Eddington was purpose-built in 2017 as the first of its kind in the country. It provides a permanent space for postdocs at the heart of the University’s newest, intellectually vibrant community.

There are 18 hot-desks available 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday.

Mill Lane

The Postdoc Centre at Mill Lane opened in 2014 and was the first Postdoc Centre. It still provides a base for postdocs right in the heart of the city.

There are 10 hot-desks available 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday.

Biomedical Campus

The Biomedical Campus Postdoc Centre opened in 2016, providing much-needed hot-desking space on the Addenbrookes site.

There are 4 hot-desks available 8am - 11pm, Monday to Friday.
